RECOMMENDED ACTION:
If Housing and Redevelopment Commission concurs your action is to adopt Housing and Redevelopment Commission Resolution No. 092 approving the operating budget for Housing Voucher Program for Fiscal Year 1987-88.
ITEM EXPLANATION
This is a sub-budget of the Housing Authority Section 8 Housing Assistance Program. The Voucher system of supplemental housing assistance was first approved in March 1986.
Federal Housing and Urban Development (HUD) regulations require that the Housing and Redevelopment Commission officially approve the annual operating budget. This is the same budget that was approved by City Council at their meeting of June 16, 1987. This action merely assures compliance with Federal Regulations.
FISCALIMPACT
This is the same budget ($99,002) previously adopted by City Council at their meeting of June 16, 1987, as part of the City budget cycle. Funds for the Housing Voucher Program are directly from the Department of Housing and Urban Development and no City General Fund monies are involved.

A RESOLUTION OF THE HOUSING AND REDEVELOPMENT COI'lMISSION OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING THE OPERATING BUDGET FOR FISCAL YEAR 1987-88 FOR THE HOUSING VOUCHER PROGRAM
WHEREAS, the Housing and Redevelopment Commission of the
City of Carlsbad, has reviewed the final operating budget for
the Housing Voucher Program for Fiscal Year 1987-88.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Housing and
Redevelopment Commission of the City of Carlsbad, California,
as follows:
1. That the operating budget of the Housing Voucher
Program of the Housing Authority of the City of Carlsbad, in
the amount of $99,002 attached hereto and identified as
Exhibit A is hereby adopted as the operating budget for
Fiscal Year 1987-88.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the
Housing and Redevelopment Commission of the City of Carlsbad,
California on the 20th day of October, 1987, by the following
