RED CONTRIBUTIONS CONTRACT NO. SF-535(E) RECOMMENDED ACTION: If Housing and Redevelopment Commission concurs, your action is to adopt Resolution No. 151 approving Section 8 Housing Certificate Program Annual Contributions Contract No. SF-535(E) and authorizing the Commission Chair to execute the contract. ITEM EXPLANATION: . . The City of Carlsbad has been awarded 22 Section'8 Housing Certificates from the U.S. Department of HUD. There are 14 one bedroom and eight two bedroom certificates. This brings the City's Section 8 Housing Program to a total of 353 certificates and vouchers. Staff plans to continue requesting more certificates in the next year. To reflect the additional certificates, the City has received from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development the proposed revised Annual Contributions Contract (ACC) for execution. The ACC is part of the on going Section 8 Housing Program and is periodically revised by HUD to reflect changes such as authorization of additional funds. Part I of the Annual Contributions Contract has been modified to include a new Exhibit I which shows revised project information and new Exhibit II adding a new project, CA16-E077-010. FISCALIMPACT: The contract revision will appropriate contract authority of $147,072 and budget authority of $735,360. This is a five year appropriation. EXHIBITS: 1. WHEREAS, the Section 8 ACC must now be revised so that it will consist of the following parts: a. Superseding Part I of the ACC, HUD 52520B (8/88), applicable to the Section 8 Existing Housing Certificate Program. b. Exhibit I, Projects Appropriated Before Federal Fiscal Year 1988: c. Exhibit II, Projects Appropriated in Federal Fiscal Year 1988 and Later Years, adding Project No. CA16-E077-010. NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the PHA, as follows: 1. The SUPERSEDING Part I of the ACC, together with Exhibits I and II, for the Housing Certificate program are hereby approved and accepted. The Chair or Acting Chair is hereby authorized and directed to execute the counterparts of the ACC on behalf of the PHA, and the Secretary is hereby authorized to impress the official seal of the PHA on each such counterpart and to forward such executed counterparts to the Government together with such other documents evidencing the approval and authorizing the execution thereof, as may be required by the Government. 2.
