RED HOUSING VOUCHER PROGRAM ANNUAL CONTRIBUTIONS CONTRACT NO. SF-535(V) RECOMMENDED AkTION: If Housing and Redevelopment Commission concurs your action is to adopt Resolution No. 162 approving Section 8 Housing Voucher Program Annual Contributions Contract No. SF-535(V) and authorizing the Commission Chairperson to execute the contract. ITEM EXPLANATION The City of Carlsbad has received from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development the proposed revise d Annual Contributions Contract (ACC) for execution. The ACC is part of the ongoing Section 8 Housing Program and is peri odically revised by HUD to reflect changes. HUD has a new format for listing contracts and is converting all contracts to the new format. FISCAL IMPACT There will be no fiscal impact to the City of Carlsbad. SF535(V) AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION. WHEREAS, the Housing and Redevelopment Commission of the City of Carlsbad (PHA) desires to enter into a superseding Part I of the Section 8 Annual Contributions Contract (ACC) with the United States of America (Government) for the Section 8 Voucher Program. Part I of the Section 8 ACC must now be revised so that it will consist of the following counterparts: a. Superseding Part I of the ACC, HUD 525200 (l/89), applicable to the Section 8 Existing Housing Voucher Program. b. Exhibit I to Part I, HUD 52420D (g/88), listing projects approved prior to October 1, 1988. C. Exhibit II to Part I, HUD 52520D (g/88), listing projects approved on or after October 1, 1988. NOW, THEREFORE, be it hereby resolved by the Housing and Redevelopment Commission of the City of Carlsbad, California, as follows: 1. The SUPERSEDING Part I of the ACC for the Housing Voucher Program are hereby approved and accepted. The Chairperson or Acting Chairperson is hereby authorized and directed to execute the counterparts of the ACC on behalf of the PHA, and the Secretary is hereby authorized to impress the official seal of the PHA on each such counterpart and to forward such executed counterparts to the Government together with such other documents evidencing the approval and authorizing the execution thereof as may be required by the Government. 2.
