RECOMMENDED ACTION:
If the Housing and Redevelopment Commission concurs, your
action is to adopt Resolution No. 170 approving Consolidated
Annual Contributions Contract No. SF-535(V) and authorizing
the Housing and Redevelopment Commission Chairperson to
execute the contract.
ITEM EXPLANATION:
The City of Carlsbad has a contract with the U.S. Department
of Housing and Urban Development for Section 8 Vouchers.
The contract is due to expire on April 16, 1991. For their
purpose, HUD has classified projects under listings, called
Exhibit I and Exhibit II. In order to implement a new five
year contract, HUD is administratively moving
classifications of the present project from Exhibit I to
Exhibit II and giving it a new project number.
FISCAL IMPACT:
The present five year voucher contract is for $121,803 each
year. The new contract will be for $129,553 each year for
the, term beginning April 1, 1991 through March 31, 1996.
The City will receive an additional $7,750 per year under
the new contract. No other aspects of the program are
affected by the change.

RESOLUTION NO. 170
A RESOLUTION OF THE HOUSING AND REDEVELOPMENT COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD APPROVING SUPERSEDING PART I OF SECTION 8 HOUSING VOUCHER PROGRAM CONSOLIDATED ANRUAL CONTRIBUTIONS CONTRACT NO. SF-535V AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION
WHEREAS, the Housing and Redevelopment Commission of
the City of Carlsbad (lgPHA1l) desires to enter into a
superseding Part I of the Section 8 Consolidated Annual
Contributions Contract (llACC") with the United States of
America (l*GovernmentlW) for the Section 8 Housing Voucher
Program.
WHEREAS, Part I of the Section 8 ACC must now be
revised so that it will consist of the following
counterparts:
a. Superseding Part I of the Act, HUD 52520D (l/89 applicable to the Section 8 Existing Housing Voucher Program.
b. Exhibit I to Part I, HUD 52520D (g/88), listing projects approved prior to October 1, 1988.
c. Exhibit II to Part I, HUD 52520D (g/88), listing projects approved on or after October 1, 1988.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the PHA, as follows:
1. The SUPERSEDING part I of the ACC for the Housing
Voucher Program are hereby approved and accepted. The
Chairman or Acting Chairman is hereby authorized and
directed to execute the counterparts of the ACC on behalf of
the PHA, and the Secretary is hereby authorized to impress
the official seal of the PHA on each such counterpart and to
forward such executed counterparts to the Government
together with such other documents evidencing the approval
and authorizing the execution thereof as may be required by
the Government.
1 2. This Resolution shall take effect immediately.
2 PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED by the Housing and
3 Redevelopment Commission of the City of Carlsbad,
4 California, on the 22nd day of May 1990, by the following
5 vote, to wit:
6 AYES : Commissioners Lewis, Kulchin, Pettine, Mamaux and Larson
