RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Adopt Resolution No. J/6 , approving/ratifying the submission of an application for additional Section 8 Housing units and authorizing the Housing and Redevelopment Director to execute Annual Contributions Contract (ACC) adding Project No. CA-16- vo77-005.
I ITEM EXPLANATION:
On August 18, 1992, the Housing and Redevelopment Commission approved submittal of an application to the Department of Housing and Urban Development for additional Section 8 Housing units.
On November 2, 1992, the Housing and Redevelopment Department received notification from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) that the request for additional units had been approved. Annual Contribution Contract Authority in the amount of $177,722 has been reserved for this application. This amount includes $157,322 for subsidy of twenty-five (25) additional households and $20,400 for housing voucher fees.
HUD Counsel will prepare and forward the Annual Contributions Contract for this project after the resolution ratifying submission of the application and authorizing its execution has been approved.
FISCAL IMPACT:
The City will receive funding from the U. S. Department of Housing and Urban Develpment for twenty-five (25) additional Section 8 Housing Vouchers, therefore, there will be no impact to the General Fund.

A RESOLUTION OF THE HOUSING AND REDEVELOPMENT COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA APPROVING/RATIFYING SUBMISSION OF THE APPLICATION FOR SECTION 8 HOUSING VOUCHERS AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF ANNUAL CONTRIBUTIONS CONTRACT ADDING PROJECT NO. CA-160VO77-005
WHEREAS, the Housing and Redevelopment Commission of the
City of Carlsbad, (ltPHA") desires to enter into a Annual
Contributions Contract (llACC'l) with the United States of
America (@'Government") for the Section 8 Existing Housing
Voucher Program; and
WEEREAS, the Notification of Application Approval Fair
Share Allocation - FY 1992 Funding Section 8 Housing Voucher
Program Project No. CA-16-V077-005 has been received.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED, by the Housing and
Redevelopment Commission of the City of Carlsbad, California,
as follows:
1. The Housing and Redevelopment Commission hereby approves/ratifying submission of the application for Fair Share Allocation - FY 1992 funding Section 8 Housing Vouchers.
2. The Housing and Redevelopment Commission hereby authorizes the Housing and Redevelopment Director to execute documents adding Project No. CA-16-VO77-005.
