DEPT. HSG & RED CERTIFICATES AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF
ACC ADDING PROJECT NO. CA-1 6-EO77-014
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Adopt -Resolution No. 24 0 approving/ratifying the submission of an application for
additional Section 8 Housing units and authorizing the Housing and Redevelopment Director to
execute Annual Contributions Contract (ACC) adding Project No. CA-1 6-E077-014.
I ITEM EXPLANATION:
On August 17, 1993, the Housing and Redevelopment Commission approved submittal of an
application to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development for additional Section 8
Housing units.
On October 5, 1993, the Housing and Redevelopment Department received notification from the
U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) that the request for additional units had
been approved. An Annual Contribution Contract in the amount of $103,814 has been reserved for
this application. This amount includes $93,011 to subsidize thirteen (13) additional households and
$10,803 for Administrative expenses.
HUD Counsel will prepare and forward the Annual Contributions Contract for this project after the
resolution ratifying submission of the application and authorizing its execution has been approved.
FISCAL IMPACT:
The City will receive $103,814 annually from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban
Development for thirteen (13) additional Section 8 Certificates. This amount includes $10,803 in
Administrative Fees. There will be no impact to the General Fund.

A RESOLUTION OF THE HOUSING AND REDEVELOPMENT
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA
APPROVING/RATIFYING SUBMISSION OF THE
APPLICATION FOR SECTION 8 CERTIFICATES AND
AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF ANNUAL CONTRIBUTIONS
CONTRACT ADDING PROJECT NO. CA 16 FO77-014 - -
WHEREAS, the Housing and Redevelopment Commission of the City of
Carlsbad, (“PHA”) desires to enter into an Annual Contributions Contract (“ACC”) with
the United States of. America (“Government”) for the Section 8 Certificate Program;
and
WHEREAS, the Notification of Approval for the FY 1993 Fair Share
Allocation, providing funding for the Section 8 Certificate Program Project No. CA-1 6 --.--A- ___._ - -.- -.. __ ;?‘= -i -c_:..i . z* _. - _ I., .i;.--.-r. E077-014, has been received.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED by the Housing and
Redevelopment Commission of the City of Carlsbad, California, as follows:

submission of the application for Fair Share Allocation - FY 1993 funding
Section 8 Certificates.
2. The Housing and Redevelopment Commission hereby authorizes the

Project No. CA-l 6-E077-014.
