RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Adopt Resolution NO. accepting street improvement on Carlsbad Village 2 ‘( $.
Drive between Washington Street and Pio Pica Drive, Project No. 3347, as complete and
directing the City Clerk to record a Notice of Completion and release bonds in
accordance with State Law and City Ordinances.
ITEM EXPLANATION:
On August 3, 1993, T.B. Penick and Sons was awarded a contract in the amount of
$1,8 17,47 1 .OO to construct a storm drain system, traffic signals, general and decorative
street improvements on Carlsbad Village Drive.
T.B. Penick and Sons completed the work on May 25,1994. City forces have inspected
said construction and found it to be satisfactory. Staff recommends formal acceptance
by the Housing and Redevelopment Commission.

A RESOLUTION OF THE HOUSING AND REDEVELOPMENT
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA,
ACCEPTING STREET IMPROVEMENTS ON CARLSBAD VILLAGE
DRIVE BETWEEN WASHINGTON STREET AND PI0 PICO DRIVE,
PROJECT NO. 3347, AS COMPLETE.
WHEREAS, construction of street iimprovements at on Carlsbad Village Drive between
Washington Street and Pio Pica Drive have been satisfactorily completed; and
WHEREAS, the formal project Notice of Completion has been prepared; and
WHEREAS, all project costs have been established to date.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad,
California, as follows:
1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
2. That construction of Streetscape Phase V, specifically identified as Project 3347,
is deemed complete and hereby accepted.
3. The City Clerk of the City of Carlsbad is hereby authorized and directed to execute
the Notice of Completion and have same recorded.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a special of the Housing and
Redevelopment Commission held on the , 1994 by the following vote, to 12th day of JULY
