Recommended Action
Receive a brief report on future meetings applicable to the Housing Element Advisory Committee.
Executive Summary
On Jan. 21, 2020, at 5 p.m., the City Council will hold a joint special meeting with the Planning Commission,
Housing Commission, Traffic and Mobility Commission, and Housing Element Advisory Committee. The
purpose of the meeting is to discuss new laws and impacts on the City of Carlsbad. The meeting will be
held at the city’s Faraday Center, 1635 Faraday Avenue, in Room 173. Further information will be provided
to the committee prior to the joint special meeting.
Regarding the Housing Element Advisory Committee, staff has drafted the following tentative meeting
schedule. All dates suggested fall on the second Wednesday of each month in 2020.
• February 12 • August 12
• March 11 • September 9
• April 8 • October 14
• May 13 • November 11 (Veteran’s Day)
• June 10 • December 9
• July 8
The committee is not asked to approve these meeting dates as they are subject to change upon further
committee discussion at a subsequent meeting.
Public Notification
This item was noticed in accordance with the Ralph M. Brown Act and was available for viewing at least
72 hours prior to the meeting date.
