DEPT.- DISTRICT HEADQUARTERS-CMWD 86-107
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Adopt Resolution No. m accepting the construction of improvements to the District Headquarters, authorization to file the Notice of Completion and to release the 10% retention funds.
ITEM EXPLANATION
On May 16, 1989, the District signed a contract with Trepte Construction Company of San Diego, California for $1,741,668.00 for the construction of the District's new Operations Center.
The project involved construction of a new building with approximately 13,000 square feet of office area for administration, engineering and operations. The project also included the re-skining of the existing metal warehouse/shop building and the demolition of the original District office building.
The new building was substantially completed for occupancy in January. The remaining work, demolition of the original office building, the re-skining of the warehouse/shop and the remaining site work and landscaping was completed since January.
The entire project has been inspected and accepted by the architectural consultant and staff and is now ready for formal acceptance by the Board.

The 1989-90 budget for this project's construction totaled $2,000,000. Actual costs are as follows: ----,

NOTICE OF COMPLETION
Notice is hereby given that the project known as District Headquarters Expansion - Project No. 86-107 - that Portion of Lot B in Ranch0 Aqua Hedionda Per Map No. 823, Filed for Record November 16, 1896 contracted with Trepte Construction Co., Inc. has been completed in accordance with the plans and
specifications and has been accepted by the Board of Directors of the Carlsbad Municipal Water District on June 26 I 1990.
In witness whereof this Notice of Completion has been executed under authority of a directive of the Board of Directors of said Carlsbad Municipal Water District, by Robert J. Greaney, Engineer. District

RESOLUTION NO. 668
A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT ACCEPTING CONSTRUCTION IMPROVEMENTS FOR THE DISTRICT HEADOUARTERS-CMWD 86-107.
WHEREAS, the Board of Directors of the Carlsbad Municipal
Water District has determined that Trepte Construction Company
Inc. has completed the subject project in accordance with the
plans, specifications and terms of the contract document; and
WHEREAS, the District Engineer has recommended that the
Board of Directors accept the facilities constructed by Trepte
Construction Company Inc., authorize the Secretary to file a
lVNotice of Completionn, and authorize the General Manager to
release the final retention of $180,383.50.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of Directors of
the Carlsbad Municipal Water District:

That the above recitations are true and correct.
That the construction of the improvements to the
District Headquarters, Project No. 86-107, that portion
of Lot B in Ranch0 Aqua Hedionda per Map No. 823, Filed
for record November 16, 1896 in hereby deemed complete
and hereby accepted.
That the Secretary is hereby authorized and directed to
record the lVNotice of Completion".
That the General Manager is authorized to release the
final retention of $180,383.50, the securities held to
insure faithful performance, to Trepte Construction
