RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Adopt Resolution No. accepting construction of water 688 system facilities to Carlsbad Research Center-College Boulevard Offsite Water Line.
ITEM EXPLANATION
Carlsbad Research Center, developers of the subject project, have satisfactorily completed all of the construction and related proceedings for the project, and the water system is now ready for acceptance, ownership and operation by the District. As a condition of development approval, the Carlsbad Research Center has offered water system facilities which includes pipelines, valves and appurtenances constructed in College Boulevard from Faraday Drive to El Camino Real for public use to the Carlsbad Municipal Water District, and upon its acceptance by the Board of Directors, all right, title and interest of the water system facilities constructed by the Carlsbad Research Center shall vest in the District.
FISCAL IMPACT
Requiring offer and acceptance of water system facilities will allow the District to operate and maintain the facility as part of the public system. The cost of the pipeline, $99,578.00, vested in the District will become a part of District Fixed Assets.

WATER SYSTEM FACILITIES

We hereby declare that the public water system which includes
pipelines, valves, and appurtenances constructed in Carlsbad
Research Center, COll8g8 Boulevard Offsite Water Line in
accordance with the plans filed with CARLSBAD ,MUNICIPAL WATER
DISTRICT is built for public use and that upon its acceptance by
said District, all right, title, and interest of the undersigned
in and to said facilities shall vest in said District.
We further certify that any and all claims for labor,
material, or any other construction costs have been cleared so
that there are no encumbrances. The total cost of pipeline
construction amounted to $ 99,578 l

RESOLUTION NO. 688
A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT ACCEPTING THE CONSTRUCTION OF WATER SYSTEM FACILITIES TO CARLSBAD RESEARCH CENTER-COLLEGE BOULEVARD OFFSITE WATER LINE, CMWD PROJECT NO. 84-207
WHEREAS, the public water system which includes pipelines,
valves and appurtenances constructed in Carlsbad Research Center,
College Boulevard Offsite Water Line, CMWD Project 84-207, in
accordance with the plans filed with CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL WATER
DISTRICT is built for public use and that upon its acceptance by
said District, all right, title and interest of the Carlsbad
Research Center in and to said facilities shall vest in said
District; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Directors further certify that any and
all claims for labor, material, or any other construction costs
have been cleared so that there are no encumbrances and the total
cost of pipeline construction amounted to $ ggr578.00

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Directors of
the Carlsbad Municipal Water District, as follows:
1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
2. That the construction of the water system facilities to
Carlsbad Research Center, College Boulevard Offsite Water Line,
with a total cost of pipeline construction amounting to
$ 99,578.OO I is deemed complete and hereby accepted.
3. That the President is authorized to execute the Offer
and Acceptance of Water System Facilities documents of which one
copy will be on file with the Carlsbad Municipal Water District
and one copy returned to Carlsbad Research Center.

4. That the Accountant is hereby authorized and directed
to allow the project to be closed as all related services and
costs have been identified and secured.
PASSED, APPROVED, AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the
Board of Directors held on 25th day of Septgber , 1990,
by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: Board Members Lewis, Kulchin, Larson and Mamaux
NOES: None
ABSENT: --Board Member Petti
