TITLE: DISCUSSION OF COMMISSION WORKSHOP

This item is an informational item presented to the Commission in order to develop an agenda
and set a date for the Commission Workshop.
CITY MGR. -
EXPLANATION:
It has been brought up at recent Commission meetings that a Commission workshop would be
beneficial for the Commission and staff. This workshop would help develop a strategic plan
which would chart a positive future and direction for the District. This strategic plan’s purpose
is to identify the areas which the district needs to focus to fulfiU its mission through 2000.
Staff has developed an outline of a plan that can be discussed at this workshop. Staff will be
seeking comments, additions and revisions to this outline for use at the workshop.
Dr. Cliff Lange, Library Director, who will be facilitator for this workshop, will be present at
today’s meeting in order to get some input from the Commission concerning this workshop.
