RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Adopt Resolution No. 9 3 Y to accept the Recoating of “C” and Ellery Steel Tank
Reservoirs, authorize the Secretary to record the Notice of Completion and release bonds in
accordance with State Law and District Codes.
ITEM EXPLANATION:
On June 18, 1996, Techno Coatings, Inc., was awarded a contract in the amount of $315,268 for Recoating of “C” and Ellery Reservoirs.
Techno Coatings, Inc., completed the work on March IO, 1997.
City forces have inspected the public improvements and found them to be satisfactory. Staff
recommends formal acceptance by the Board of Directors of the Carlsbad Municipal Water District.
The public improvements consist of Recoating of “C” and Ellery Reservoirs.
FISCAL IMPACT:
The Carlsbad Municipal Water District will be required to maintain the public improvements.

A RESOLUTION OF THE CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT OF
CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, ACCEPTING THE PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS OF RECOATING OF “C” AND ELLERY RESERVOIRS, CMWD NO. 95107,
CONTRACT NO. 3488A. 4
5 WHEREAS, the public improvements consisting of Recoating “C” and Ellery Reservoirs
6 located at “C” Reservoir, no listed address and Ellery Reservoir, 2237 Janis Way, in the City of
7 Carlsbad, California, have been successfully completed.
8 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Directors of the Carlsbad
9 Municipal Water District of Carlsbad, California, as follows:

1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
2. That the construction of the above described public improvements is deemed
complete and hereby accepted.

3. The Secretary is hereby authorized and directed to record the Notice of

Completion for said project and release bonds in accordance with State Law and District
Codes.
4. That the Carlsbad Municipal Water District of Carlsbad, California, is hereby
18 directed to commence maintaining the above described public improvements for said project.
