CMWD MAP NOS. 13357 & 13215, CMWD PROJECT NOS. 92-503 & 94-504 CITY MGR. a-- RECOMMENDED ACTION: Adopt Resolution No. 983 for five quitclaim deeds of water pipeline easements for Carlsbad Ranch Units 1 & 3, Carlsbad Tract 94-09 & 92-7, Map Nos. 13357 & 13215, CMWD Project Nos. 92-503 & 94-504, granted to the Carlsbad Municipal Water District for water pipeline purposes located over a portion of Lots 1, 6, 7, and 8 of Carlsbad Ranch Unit 1 and Lot 14 of Carlsbad Ranch Unit 3. I ITEM EXPLANATION: This item is a request of the following owners: C. B. Ranch Enterprises, owner of Lot 1, Carlsbad Ranch Company, L.P., owner of Lot 6; KREG-OC, L.P., owner of Lot 7; and National Association of Music Merchants, Inc., owner of Lot 8; all a part of Carlsbad Ranch Unit 1 development; and Carlsbad Pacific Resort, LLC, owner of Lot 14; a part of Carlsbad Ranch Unit 3 development; to quitclaim the waterline easements located over a portion of each of the aforementioned lots. During construction of Carlsbad Tract 94-09 and 92-7, the proposed pipeline was deleted, because a new alignment was selected along Armada Drive for this pipeline. The Engineering staff has reviewed the request and concurs with each of the owner’s contention that the easements will no longer be necessary, because they will not contain a water pipeline.
