On August 12,1998, the Metropolitan Water District and the County Water Authority executed the MOU
“as a final and complete settlement and compromise of their respective claims regarding the transportation
of up to 200,000 acre feet of conserved water” and agreed “to execute a contract.. . . . .for the delivery of up
to 200,000 acre feet of water per year by MWD to SDCWA” according to specified essential terms. The
signed agreement is the contract contemplated by the MOU.
District staff will be making a presentation on some of the highlights of this signed agreement at tonights
meeting.
