RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Adopt Resolution No. to3L accepting the Dl, D2, E, and Elm Reservoirs Interior Coating
and E and Elm Reservoirs Exterior Painting, CMWD Project No. 97-109, Contract No.‘s 35351
and 35291, as complete and directing the Secretary to record a Notice of Completion and release bonds in accordance with State Law and City Ordinances. ‘\.
ITEM EXPLANATION:
On April 14, 1998, Professional Restoration Services was awarded a contract in the amount of
$490,000 for Dl , D2, E, and Elm Reservoirs Interior Coating and E and Elm Reservoirs Exterior Painting, CMWD Project No. 97-l 09, Contract No.‘s 35351 and 35291.
Professional Restoration Services completed the work on November 30, 1998. City forces
have inspected said work and found it to be satisfactory. Staff recommends formal acceptance
by the District Board of Directors.

DISTRICT OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, ACCEPTING THE Dl,
D2, E, AND ELM RESERVOIRS INTERIOR COATING AND E
AND ELM RESERVOIRS EXTERIOR PAINTING, CMWD
PROJECT NO. 97-l 09, CONTRACT N0.S 35351 AND 35291.
! WHEREAS, the Dl, D2, E, and Elm Reservoirs Interior Coating and E and Elm
Reservoirs Exterior Painting, CMWD project No. 97-109, Contract No.‘s 35351 and 35291, has
I been satisfactorily completed; and
WHEREAS, the formal project Notice of Completion has been prepared; and
WHEREAS, all project costs have been established to date.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Directors of the Carlsbad
Municipal Water District of Carlsbad, California, as follows:
1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
2. That the Dl, D2, E, and Elm Reservoirs Interior Coating and E and Elm Reservoirs
Exterior Painting, CMWD project No. 97-109, Contract No.‘s 35351 and 35291, is deemed
complete and hereby accepted.
3. The Secretary is hereby authorized and directed to record the Notice of Completion
for said project and release bonds in accordance with State Law and District Codes.
4. That the Carlsbad Municipal Water District of Carlsbad, California, is hereby
directed to commence maintaining the above described public improvements for said project.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a special meeting of the Board of Directors of
the Carlsbad Municipal Water District held on the 26th day of January, 1999 by the following
