RECOMMENDED ACTION:
This is an informational item and there is no recommended action at this time.
ITEM EXPLANATION:
Activities related to the implementation of the IIDEDCWA Water Transfer Agreement, signed April
29, 1998, are entering the fourth year. Implementation of the Transfer Agreement is subject to the
satisfaction of certain conditions, including arrangement of transportation of the conserved water
and completion of the environmental compliance process. Under the Colorado River Water
Management Plan and the Quantification Settlement Agreement, the water transfer has become a
key component of a comprehensive plan to reduce California’s dependence on Colorado River
surplus declarations.
Staff will be presenting a short update on the status of this issue.

This is an informational item and there is no fiscal impact at this time.
