DEMOLITION OF PAJAMA DRIVE WATER FACILITY

RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Adopt Resolution No. 1316 accepting the contract for the demolition of Pajama Drive
Water Facility, Project No. 3955, as complete, and directing the Secretary to record a Notice of
Completion and release bonds in accordance with State Law and City Ordinances.
ITEM EXPLANATION:
On October 10, 2007, the Carlsbad Municipal Water District and TC Construction Company, Inc.
entered into a contract in the amount of $24,158.00 for the Demolition of Pajama Drive Water Facility,
Project No. 3955.
TC Construction Company, Inc. completed the contract work on March 4, 2008. Staff has inspected
the work and found it to be satisfactory. Staff recommends formal acceptance of the improvements by
the Board.
ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT:
The approval of a Notice of Completion is a ministerial process and is exempt from the requirements
of CEQA pursuant to Section 15268 of the State CEQA Guidelines.

A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF CARLSBAD
3 MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT (CMWD) ACCEPTING THE
CONTRACT FOR THE DEMOLITION OF PAJAMA DRIVE WATER
4 FACILITY. PROJECT NO. 3955.
5 WHEREAS, the Demolition of Pajama Drive Water Facility, Project No. 3955 was
completed on March 4, 2008; and
WHEREAS, all work has been completed to the Carlsbad Municipal Water District's
satisfaction by TC Construction Company, Inc.; and8
WHEREAS, the formal project Notice of Completion has been prepared; and

WHEREAS, all project costs have been established to date.
10 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Directors of Carlsbad Municipal
Water District (CMWD) of the City of Carlsbad, California, as follows:
19* 1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
2. That the contract for the Demolition of Pajama Drive Water Facility, specifically
identified as Project No. 3955, is deemed complete and is hereby accepted by the Board of
15 Directors of Carlsbad Municipal Water District.
3. The Secretary of the Board is hereby authorized and directed to execute and
17 record the Notice of Completion for the Demolition of Pajama Drive Water Facility, Project No.
