RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Adopt Resolution No. _1395 _ accepting the contract for construction of the Industrial Park
Recycled Water Service Lines, Project No. 52011 as complete, and directing the Secretary to record a
Notice of Completion and release bonds in accordance with State Law and City Ordinances.
ITEM EXPLANATION:
On August 4, 2009, the Carlsbad Municipal Water District (CMWD) awarded a contract to Atlas-Allied, Inc.
in the amount of $159,500 for the construction of the Industrial Park Recycled Water Service
Lines, Project No. 52011.
Atlas-Allied, Inc. completed the work on March 19, 2010. Staff has inspected the work and found it to be
satisfactory. Staff recommends acceptance of the improvements by the Board.
ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT:
The project is exempt from environmental review per CEQA Guidelines Section 15302(c) - replacement or
reconstruction of existing utility systems and/or facilities involving negligible or no expansion of capacity.

A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
3 CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT (CMWD),
ACCEPTING THE CONTRACT FOR CONSTRUCTION OF THE
4 INDUSTRIAL PARK RECYCLED WATER SERVICE LINES,
PROJECT NO. 52011, AS COMPLETE.

WHEREAS, the construction of the Industrial Park Recycled Water Service Lines, Project
6
No. 52011, has been completed to Carlsbad Municipal Water District's satisfaction by
7
Atlas-Allied, Inc. on March 19, 2010; and
8
WHEREAS, the formal project Notice of Completion has been prepared; and
9
WHEREAS, all project costs have been established to date.10
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Carlsbad Municipal Water District Board

of the City of Carlsbad, California, as follows:12
1. That the above recitations are true and correct.13
2. That the Industrial Park Recycled Water Service Lines, specifically identified as
14
Project No. 52011 is deemed complete and is hereby accepted by the Board of the Carlsbad
15
Municipal Water District.

3. That the Secretary of the Board is hereby authorized and directed to execute and
record the Notice of Completion for the Industrial Park Recycled Water Service Lines,
