PUBLIC NOTIFICATION: None required. 2 Report On Water Conservation For January 2016 City Council Workshop February 16, 2016 Wendy Chambers, General Manager Mario Remillard, Meter Services Supervisor and Conservation Coordinator Report On Water Conservation For January 2016 City Council Workshop February 16, 2016 Wendy Chambers, General Manager Mario Remillard, Meter Services Supervisor and Conservation Coordinator Agenda •Final adopted revisions to the Extended Emergency Regulation. •Report on water conservation within the CMWD service area for January 2016. 2 SWRCB –Final Adopted Emergency Regulation for Urban Water Conservation •Regulations extended until October 2016 with “modest adjustments to respond to reasonable concerns”. ‒Climate ‒Growth ‒New, local, drought-resilient supply •Revise or rescind Emergency Regulation no later than May 2016 depending upon precipitation data. •Meet with stakeholders and DWR to develop a framework and options for a more resilience-based conservation approach into the future. 3 SWRCB –Final Adopted Emergency Regulation for Urban Water Conservation •CMWD qualifies for an eight percent reduction in its conservation standard.
