RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Receive a presentation from Keith Lewinger, Carlsbad Municipal Water District representative on
the San Diego County Water Authority Board, regarding a proposed rate increase by Metropolitan
Water District.
ITEM EXPLANATION:
The Metropolitan Water District has proposed a rate increase that affects San Diego County
Water Authority rates. Mr. Lewinger will provide a presentation regarding the proposed rate
increase.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Unknown at this time.
ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT:
Pursuant to Public Resources Code section 21065, this action does not constitute a "project" within the
meaning of CEQA in that it has no potential to cause either a direct physical change in the environment, or
a reasonably foreseeable indirect physical change in the environment, and therefore does not require
environmental review.
