Adopt Resolution No. 36 accepting the construction contract on the Mass Grading
and Partial Utilities for the Carlsbad Municipal Golf Course project, Project No. 39721-1.
ITEM EXPLANATION:
On July 26, 2005, SEMA Construction, Inc. was awarded a contract in the amount of $7,721,463.48
for the Mass Grading and Partial Utilities for the Carlsbad Municipal Golf Course project, Project No.
39721-1.
SEMA Construction, Inc. completed the golf course work on March 13, 2007. Staff has inspected the
work and found it to be satisfactory. Staff recommends formal acceptance of the improvements by the
Board.
ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT:
The approval of a Notice of Completion is a ministerial process and is exempt from the requirements
of-CEQA pursuant to Section 15268 of the State CEQA Guidelines.

A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE
3 CARLSBAD PUBLIC FINANCING AUTHORITY ACCEPTING
THE CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT ON THE MASS GRADING
4 AND PARTIAL UTILITIES FOR THE CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL
GOLF COURSE PROJECT. PROJECT NO. 39721-1

WHEREAS, the construction of the Mass Grading and Partial Utilities for the Carlsbad
6
Municipal Golf Course project as been completed to the Board's satisfaction by SEMA Construction,
7
Inc. on March 13, 2007; and
8 WHEREAS, the formal project Notice of Completion has been prepared; and
g WHEREAS, all project costs have been established to date; and
10 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Directors of the Carlsbad
11 Public Financing Authority of the City of Carlsbad, California, as follows:
12 1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
13 2. That the Mass Grading and Partial Utilities for the Carlsbad Municipal Golf Course
14 project, specifically identified as Project No. 39721-1, is deemed complete and is hereby accepted
15 by the Board of Directors of the Carlsbad Public Financing Authority of the City of Carlsbad,
California.
17 3. That the Secretary of the Carlsbad Public Financing Authority is hereby authorized
and directed to execute and record the Notice of Completion for the Mass Grading and Partial18
Utilities for the Carlsbad Municipal Golf Course project, Project No. 39721-1.
