RECOMMENDED ACTION:
51Adopt Resolution No.
Course, Project No. 39721-2 as complete,
accepting the contract for construction of the Carlsbad Municipal Golf
and direct the Secretary of the Board to record a Notice of
Completion and release bonds in accordance with State Law and City Ordinances.
ITEM EXPLANATION:
On July 26, 2005, Wadsworth Golf Construction Company of the Southwest was awarded a contract in the
amount of $16,727,761 for the construction of the Carlsbad Municipal Golf Course (The Crossings at Carlsbad).
Wadsworth Golf Construction Company of the Southwest substantially completed the golf course construction
on October 31, 2008. The final change order was executed on March 9, 2009. Staff has inspected the work and
found it to be satisfactory. Staff recommends acceptance of the improvements by the Board of the Carlsbad
Public Financing Authority.
This is the last Notice of Completion for the three golf course contracts.
ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT:
The approval of a Notice of Completion is a ministerial process and is exempt from the requirements of CEQA
pursuant to Section 15268 of the State CEQA guidelines.

WHEREAS, the construction of the Carlsbad Municipal Golf Course, Project No. 39721-2,

was substantially completed on October 31, 2008; and
7
WHEREAS, the final change order was executed on March 9, 2009; and
8 WHEREAS, all work has been completed to the Carlsbad Public Financing Authority's

satisfaction by Wadsworth Golf Construction Company of the Southwest; and
10 WHEREAS, the formal project Notice of Completion has been prepared; and
11 WHEREAS, all project costs have been established to date.
12 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Directors of the Carlsbad
13 Public Financing Authority of the City of Carlsbad, California, as follows:
14 1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
15 2. That the contract for the construction of the Carlsbad Municipal Golf Course,
16 Project No. 39721-2, is deemed complete and is hereby accepted by the Board of Directors of the
Carlsbad Public Financing Authority of the City of Carlsbad.
3. That the Secretary of the Board is hereby authorized and directed to execute and1o
record the Notice of Completion for the Carlsbad Municipal Golf Course, Project No. 39721-2.19
