REQUESTED ACTION: Consider adoption of a Traffic Safety Commission Resolution of
Commendation for Mychal Dourson
BACKGROUND:
DATA:
Commissioner Mychal Dourson was appointed to the Traffic Safety Commission by the
City Council on October 21, 2014. He served on the Commission from November 2014
through October 2016. Mr. Dourson's term of service on the Traffic Safety Commission
ended due to expiration of his term.
In the past, the Traffic Safety Commission has honored each Commissioner that has
completed his/her appointment on the Commission with a Resolution of
Commendation. The attached commendation, if adopted, would honor Mr. Dourson
for his service to the Traffic Safety Commission and is provided for Commission
consideration.
RECOMMENDATION:
Action to be taken as determined by the Traffic Safety Commission. , I

No City Council action required.
TRAFFIC SAFETY COMMISSION
RESOLUTION OF COMMENDATION OF
Mychal Dourson
WHEREAS, Mychal Dourson was appointed to the Traffic Safety
Commission on October 21, 2014 by the City of Carlsbad City Council;
and
WHEREAS, Mychal Dourson has served on the Traffic Safety
Commission from November 2014 through October 2016; and
WHEREAS, the Traffic Safety Commission of the City of Carlsbad
wishes to commend Mychal Dourson for his earnest and faithful direction
and participation in traffic and pedestrian safety and transportation
planning matters brought before the Traffic Safety Commission.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Traffic Safety
Commission of the City of Carlsbad does hereby extend its grateful
appreciation to Mychal Dourson for having diligently servep the people of
Carlsbad for two years.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the
Traffic Safety Commission held on the 1st day of May, 2017 by the
following vote to wit:
