PD Activity for December & January
•CARS4 location –Lapis Drive and Alicante Carlsbad California:
–Traffic Division partnered with patrol and to saturate problem areas with a police presence. Also met with Association and Traffic Engineering to reach long term solution.
•One serious injury collision and no fatal collisions during:
–January 8, 2019
–Faraday Ave West of El Camino Real.
•Social Media Outreach and OTS Grant Application:
-Education and Outreach regarding issues at Valley Middle School.
-Grant application to OTS for enforcement surrounding DUI and Safety
•Carlsbad Marathon:
-Safe event which used technology to monitor the course from remote location.
