The meeting "as called to order at 7:00 P.M. by Chairman ;<alterB,

The minutes of the meeting of January 31, 1958 were read and approved.

event 0 On motion by Jefferss seconded by i-iaerkle, it was reooaniended that
the Harbor Commission approve the event of Ilarch 2f 1958 s subject to theseprovisions:
(1) That no motors be run earlier than 9:00 o'clock A.I-U,and that all boats be off the water by ^:30 o'clock P0H0
(2) That the Carlsbad Boat and Ski Club assist in policingthe even t0
(3) That all refuge be cleaned up within tx/enty-four (2^-) hours0
(^) That a ^50.00 deposit be placed with the City Treasurer,
subject to refund upon recommendation by the Chief of Police,
GffiMITTBE APPOINTMENTS : Chairman Walters brought up the subject of
appointments to committees and suggested that committees be appointed on
publicity and budget* He then appointed Commissioner Lamb and Secretary
Ewald to the Publicity Committee, and Commissioner Jeffers to head the
Committee on Budge to
BOND ISSUE DISCUSSION; The question of bond issues was discussed, both
revenue and general obligation bonds0 On a notion by Comn, Maerkle,
seconded by Comm» Lambj it was recommended that a request be made tothe City Council to support an amendment to the Revenue Bond Law of 1941to Include harbors under other items listed in the Act. The Commissiondiscussed the possibility of the City Attorney and the City Managerattending future meetings, since the Commission is getting into financingproblems and it is felt that additional legal advice may be necessary „
