MEETING OF: HOUSING AND REDEVELOPMENT ADVISORY COMMITTEE WORKSHOP
CALL TO ORDER was made by Chaixman Chriss at 4:24 P.M.
ROLL CALL
Present - Chairman Chriss,-Members Ward, Hayes, Hall, Runzo, .
Carney, and Helton.
Absent - Members Sanchez and Mariz.
1. Review of Attachments
The Committee reviewed Resolution No. 6226, and briefly
discussed same.
2. Scope of work to be defined by Committee
After Committee discussion, the following outline was drawn
up as a summary of duties:

Develop consistency with Design
Manual, Redevelopment Plan,
Streetscape Plan, Design Review '
Board, and Project Area Committee.
Housing and Redevelopment Advisory
Committee; Planning, construction,
and operations of Redevelopment and Housing activities. 1.
Block Grant application and project
selection, Information on items
relating to housing and redevelop-
ment, Implementation of Housing
element of the City's General Plan,
Review of all building permits with-
in the Redevelopment Area vs. only
permits that require sewer, and
Human Services.
Fulfill goals of Housing and
Redevelopment Commission, and make
recommendations on Housing and
Redevelopment Advisory Committee's
responsibilities.
Frequency of 'Meetings, Blue print
reading workshop,. development of
procedures for plans (i-e., flow-
chart), Fiscal review, Documents,
Sub-Committee's process and sc~pe,
Require complete applications tor
design review, and: have ,packets to
Committee one week in advance of '
meetings.
3. Responsibilities drawn between Staff and Committee
The Committee discussed role clarification, in relation to
the above duties.
In reference to frequency of meetings, it was suggested that
the Committee hold two meetings a month, to allow a more
complete review of matters coming before them.

Member Runzo inquired as to the possibility of having a
blue print workshop, and Staff responded that they agreed
with the idea.
4. Defined Job Description
The Committee briefly discussed the job description, as set
forth for the Housing and Redevelopment Advisory Committee.
The Committee then indicat'ed a need for a workshop on the
first Monday in February.
ADJOURNMENT
By proper motion, the meeting was adjourned at 5:55 P.M.,
