Meeting called to order at 7:30 P.M. Minutes were approved.
Members may miss three meetings before being dropped. Mark has-missed
two meetings and is to receive a notice that he can only miss one more
meeting. . .
Jack Arnold was our guest speaker. He told us about the bond issue.
The voting on this issue might be in November. We need more neighborhood
praks in Carlsbad. Have a park near a school so the children can play at
it. Have a big park that would run from the lagoon to Lake Calavaras.
The whole plan will incude about 8 parks. Each high school will have a
swimming pool. Start the first one at Carlsbad High School. It will take
about 2 years to complete the whole thing. It will have 500 acres for big
parks.
Reports
Life Line- LL meets only one time a month.. DEFY meets every week.
CIC- Dan Lance reported that the ambulance service will cost 53
"thousand dollars and it will pay for istsef in 4" years. A resident will
pay $25, and a nonres-ident will pay $35. A point brought up was that the
fireman can be trained to do the same job.-
SLO-OB is a new group. Get^'people aware of the pollution problem.
Have a clean up day. . . •
Membership- Have 15 members. The old.ones will pick new ones to take
their place. Should we have it during the summer. Ann cannotcome to
the meeti ngs. •
Mr. Lewis went over the Council's agenda.
