VILLAGE PROJECT AREA COMMITTEE
MEETING
April 26, 1979

INTRODUCTION
Each member of the Project Area Committee and attending staff gave
a short introductory statement.
Redevelopment Coordinator - General commentary was'offered regarding
the. proposed redevelopment plan and adoption process. Included in
the commentary was a general time schedule and delineation of
committee responsibilities.
Discussion/Motion - After discussion it was moved by member Nielsen
t1 t member Chriss be appointed Chairperson of the Committee. The
motion unanimously carried.
Discussion/Motion - It was moved by member Nielsen and seconded by
member Chriss that member Hayes be appointed Vice -Chairperson of
the Committee. The motion unanimously carried.
Discussion/Motion - Following discussion regarding locations for
future meetings it was moved by member Nielsen that meetings be
conducted weekly on Tuesday morning at 7:30 A.M. This motion was
seconded by member Ruhnau and carried unanimously. Staff will
attempt to locate space in the Village area for future meetings.
Staff was also to check with the Attorney regarding wording on the
meeting time and date section of the By -Laws. By-laws to be
returned to the next meeting.
Member Nielsen - Advised that with the consent of the Committee
members, he would sponsor a booth for the Project Area Committee
member's use at the Spring Fair on 'May 6, 1979. There being
no objections, details would be forthcoming at the Committee's next
meeting.

Adjournment - Chairperson Chriss, by proper motion, adjourned the
meeting at 10:17 A.M. to 7:30 A.M. Tuesday, May 1, 1979, with
direction to staff to contact Oceanside Federal regarding possible
use of their facility on May 1, 1979.
