BOARD MEETING

CALL TO ORDER:Chairperson Stripe called the meeting to order at 3:00 p.m.

III.Approve the minutes of the November 16, 2016 and February 23, 2017 meetings
1.Minutes of November 16, 2016 approved 2-0-2 (Bacerra and Stull abstained)
2.Minutes of February 23, 2017 approved 3-0-1 (Stull abstained)

IV.STAFF REPORT
1.Board Composition and Quorum
2.CGLBID opt out provision
Staff Liaison Cheryl Gerhardt gave a brief presentation regarding the proposed changes to the
Board Composition and Quorum.The Board agreed to recommend amending the procedures,
modifying the total member requirement from 7 to 5.The Board further agreed that a fifth
member from Grand Pacific Resorts should be appointed.Ms. Gerhardt asked that a letter of
interest be submitted to her to forward to the City Clerk.
The Board discussed that there is currently no opt out provision in the procedures.Hotels may
opt in by May 1 for inclusion in the coming fiscal year.The Board agreed to recommended that
an opt-out provision be added that would request hotels submit in writing by May 1 their desire
to opt out of the CGLBID.The hotel would continue to collect the CGLBID assessment until June
30 of that fiscal year.They would then have 120 day after the end of the fiscal year to submit for
reimbursement.
V.AB 02-17-29 APPROVE REIMBURSEMENT REQUESTS
(Item continued from 2-23-17 meeting due to lack of quorum)
To adopt Resolutions 2017-1G, 2017-2G, and 2017-3G approving reimbursement
requests.
Motion was approved.
VI.AB 3-17-30 APPROVE REIMBURSEMENT REQUESTS
To adopt Resolutions 2017-4G, and 2017-5G approving reimbursement requests.

VII.NEXT MEETING
The Board set the next meeting date as April 13, 2017 at 3:00 p.m.
