Also present: i were Acting City Manager Mamaux, City Attorney Wilson : ; and City Clerk Adams. I I I I I L I. ! The Mayor announced this special meeting was called for i the purpose of discussing personnel and Council appoint- ! ees. I By motion of the Council it was agreed that an executive i session be called and the Council adjourn to the City ; Manager's office for the purpose of discussing personnel i and Council appointees. I I I & I i I I I I t ! i Atkinson : Guevara i Neiswende : Jardine i Hughes I I I 1 ! The Council adjourned to the City Manager's office at 1 i 7:05 P. M. I I i The regular meeting reconvened in the Council Chambers I : at 9:05 P. M. : Mayor Neiswender announced the following decisions had i ! been made concerning personnel and Council appointees: i i City Manager. The appointment of John J. Mamaux as i i City Manager, subject to a 90 day probationary period, : ; at the present salary of $850.00 per month. i The Mayor requested that a letter of appreciation be sent i I to all the applicants for the position of City Manager, : except four applicants, and advise them that their appli- i i cations are being held pending the probationary period. : I I I b I I 1 I I I I I 4 I 1 I I I 1 I I I I I I I ; Library Building Committee. Cmn. Hughes and Cmn. ! : Atkinson were appointed to the Library Building Corn- I I i mittee. I Parks and Recreation Commission, Mr. James H. : Carmichael, 4105 Skyline Road, was appointed to fill the i i vacancy on the Parks and 8ecreation Commission, create? i by the resignation of J. E. Jardine. : Finance Committee. The Mayor stated he was appointing i I a special finance committee, to check into the financial i i affairs of the city, namely, Cmn. Jardine and Cmn. : Atkinson. : Planning Commission. Appointments to the Planning i i 'Commission was 'under discussion, however, no decision i I was made at this time, The naming of the additional : members will take place at the regular meeting of May 5,1 1 I I I I I t I I I I I I I * I a I 1 I t I I I - - ' ! 1964. I I : * : Auditing Committee. Cmn. Jardine was appointed to i audit the bills, and Cmn. Atkinson to audit the payroll. i i Ey proper motion the meeting was adjourned at 9: 10 P.
