They requested that the City pay the : : difference of $17.50 for trees planted by B, J. Brzenski. i i The letter stated Brzenski requested to plant the city ; ; street trees himself on Garfield Street to save the city i i this cost, arzd would buy the trees from the City at a : price that existed several years ago. By common con- i i sent the Council agreed that the city pay the difference : : in the cost of the trees. i (b) Park and Recreation Commission re: revision of : Ordinance #l060-A. i A revision of Ordinance #106O-A was brought before the I i Council. City Manager Mamaux stated that 'chis revision ; : should first be shown to DMJM. The Mayor requested : i that this matter be held in abeyance of DMJM's recorn- i i mendations. i (c) Park and Recreation Commission re: request that : i Commission be notified before the removal of City street: : trees. The petition i i reflected 50% in favor. The City Council approved City : : participation provided funds were available at the time of i i the proposed call for bids. The Engineering Department : ; reported that 39.5% have deposited their pro-rated share i i of the estimated construction cost. He called upon ! i all parents to realize the importance of this matter and i ; stated that carelessness does not happen, but is caused. i i We asked that the building inspectors check on the fences i : around swimming pools in order to prevent the danger ; i of children falling into them. Mayor Neiswender stated : : that it is up to the adults to protect the children. I I ! I i CITY ATTORNEY'S REPORT: I City Attorney Wilson reported that two deeds from prop- : erty owners l Whitehead's, at the corner of Xoosevklt 4 and Beech, have been recorded by the City Clerk. Also, i the grant deed from Mary and Harold Blaine on Madison : Street for public right-of-way was presented to the I Council for approval. : By motion sf the Council, the deess were accepted. I CITY MANAGER'S REPORT: I The City Manager presented to the Council the sewer ; refund agreement to Richard Osburn, and recommeniied I it be approved.
