MEETING OF : CITY COUNCIL (Special Meeting)

CALL TO ORDER: Mayor Lewis called the Meeting to order at 5:05 p.m.
ROLL CALL was taken by the Assistant City Clerk as follows:
Present: Council Members Kulchin, Nygaard, Finnila, Mayor Pro-Tern Hall and Mayor Lewis
PUBLIC COMMENT ON AGENDA ITEMS: None.
CLOSED SESSION:
Council adjourned to Closed Session at 5:05 p.m., to discuss the following:
41 1. CLOSED SESSION - PENDING LITIGATION.
Citv of Carlsbad v. Ukegawa, Case No. N73928, pending litigation, pursuant to Government Code Section
54956.9(a).
74 2. CLOSED SESSION - EMPLOYEE RELATIONS AND NEGOTIATIONS.
Employer-employee relations, salaries, salary schedules, and compensation with designated staff (Frank
Mannen, Assistant City Manager, Ann Cheverton, Human Resources Director, and Julie Clark, Human
Resources Manager) as labor negotiators, with respect to negotiations with the CFA, CCEA, CPOA, and
Police Management Association employee organizations, and unrepresented employees, pursuant to
Government Code Section 54957.6.
Council reconvened at 6:06 p.m. with five Council Members present. Mayor Lewis announced that Council had
heard the information, and instructed staff and the Attorney regarding the items.
