SPECIAL MEETING
The Meeting was convened at 6:04 p.m.
The following Commissioners were present:
Commissioners Lewis, Kulchin, Pettine, Mamaux and
Larson.
Absent : None.
1. AB 895 - APPROVAL OF OUT-OF-STATE TRAVEL -
REDEVELOPMENT BOND ISSUE.
Chris Salomone, Housing & Redevelopment Director,
introduced the item, and 3im Elliott, Finance Director,
gave the staff report as contained in the Agenda Bill. He indicated the meeting with Moody Investor Service
could result in a higher bond rating, and this could
result in lower interest rates and lower insurance costs.
The four staff members to attend the New York meeting
would be Ray Patchett, Marty Orenyak, Chris Salomone and Jim Elliott, with Commissioners Lewis and Mamaux
representing the Commission.
Commissioner Kulchin stated she felt four staff members
were not necessary. She stated she would like to see
Commissioners Lewis and Mamaux attend the meeting, with two staff members chosen by the City Manager.
Commissioner Larson stated he would like to see the
staff representation reduced by one, with Commissioners Lewis and Mamaux both attending.
Commissioner Mamaux stated he had no objection to four
staff members attending, as the rating affects the
entire City.
Commissioner Pettine recommended sending the City
Manager as Administrative head, Chris Salomone, Jim
Elliott and one Commissioner.
Commissioner Lewis recommended three staff persons
selected by the City Manager, and Commissioners Mamaux
and himself.
Housing and Redevelopment Commission directed the City Lewis xx
Manager to choose three staff members to attend the Kulchin X
meeting in New York, with Commissioners Lewis and Pettine J
