The Meeting was convened at 7:32 p.m. I The following Commissioners were present: I I

APPROVAL OF MINUTES: I I
Minutes of the Regular Meeting held November 22, 1988 were approved as presented.

RP 85-19(A)/CDP 88-7 CALIFORNIA BUILDERS
Chris Salomone, Director of Housing and Redevelopment,
gave the staff report as contained in the Agenda Bill,
using a transparency to show the location of the
project.
Chairman Lewis opened the Public Hearing at 7:35 p.m.,
and issued the invitation to speak.
Charles Rowe, 2910 Jefferson, Suite 202, stated he wa
present to answer any questions.
Since no one else wished to speak on this matter, the
Public Hearing was closed at 7:37 p.m. 1
Housing and Redevelopment Commission adopted the
following Resolutions: (one motion)
RESOLUTION NO. 119, APPROVING A MA30R REDEVELOPMENT
PERMIT TO ADD 18 HOTEL UNITS AND 27 PARKING SPACES T(
A PREVIOUSLY APPROVED MAJOR REDEVELOPMENT PERMIT ON
PROPERTY GENERALLY LOCATED AT THE SOUTHEAST CORNER OF
CARLSBAD BOULEVARD AND BEECH STREET.

RESOLUTION NO. 120, APPROVING A NEGATIVE DECLARATION
TO ADD 18 HOTEL UNITS AND 27 PARKING SPACES TO A

TO ALLOW A 70-UNIT HOTEL/COMMERCIAL COMPLEX. I
RESOLUTION NO. 121, APPROVING A COASTAL DEVELOPMENT
AND UNDERGROUND PARKING.
PERMIT FOR AN 88-UNIT HOTEL OVER A COMMERCIAL COMPLEX
