JOINT MEETING OF: THE CITY OF CARLSBAD HOUSING AND
REDEVELOPMENT COMMISSION AND CITY
COUNCIL
(Joint Special Meeting)
DATE OF MEETING: January 10, 2012
TIME OF MEETING: 6:00 p.m.
PLACE OF MEETING: City Council Chambers
CALL TO ORDER: Chair/Mayor Hall called the Joint Special Meeting to order at 9:46 p.m.
ROLL CALL was taken by the Secretary/City Clerk as follows:
Present: Commission/Council Members Hall, Kulchin, Blackburn, Douglas and Packard.
Absent: None.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES:
On a motion by Vice Chair/Mayor Pro Tem Kulchin, the minutes of the following meeting were
unanimously approved as presented:
Minutes ofthe Joint Special Meeting held December 6, 2011.
CONSENT CALENDAR:
ACTION: On a motion by Vice Chair/Mayor Pro Tem Kulchin, Commission/Council
affirmed the action ofthe Consent Calendar, Item #16 as follows:
AYES: Hall, Kulchin, Blackburn, Douglas and Packard.
NOES: None.
WAIVER OF ORDINANCE TEXT READING:
Commission/Council waived the reading ofthe text of all Ordinances and Resolutions at this
Meeting.
16. AB #20.782 - DESIGNATE THE CITY COUNCIL AS SUCCESSOR AGENCY FOR THE
REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY.
Commission adopted RESOLUTION NO. 519. accepting the election of the City of
Carlsbad to act as the Successor Agency for the Carlsbad Redevelopment Agency and
to assume said role upon dissolution ofthe Agency on February 1, 2012; and, to have
the Carlsbad Housing Authority act as the Successor Housing Agency and accept
transfer of related housing assets of the Agency to the Carlsbad Housing Authority.

REDEVELOPMENT COMMISSION AND CITY COUNCIL
Council adopted RESOLUTION NO. 2012-013, electing to act as the Successor Agency
for the Carlsbad Redevelopment Agency, and accepting the election ofthe Carlsbad
Housing Authority as the Successor Agency, assuming both roles upon dissolution ofthe
Agency as of February 1, 2012; and, accepting transfer of the related housing assets of
the Agency; and,
ADJOURNMENT:
By proper motion, the Joint Special Meeting of January 10, 2012, was adjourned at 9:47 p.m.
