HOUSING COMMISSION

ROLL CALL: Those present were Mrs. Fox and Mssrs. Baker, Mariz
and Littlefield. Mr. Mariz chaired the meeting in Mr. Sanchez's
absence.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES: The minutes of the meeting of June 27 were
approved as submitted.
WRITTEN & ORAL COMMUNICATIONS:
The Director gave a brief report on the unit located at 353Q.
Madison and the following motion was made:
The rfousing Commission recommends approval by the
Carlsbad Housing Authority of the proposal by the owner of
3530 Madison to renew the lease from January 1, 1978 through
September 30, 1978, at a rental of $220.0_0 per month.
DIRECTOR'S REPORT:
There was nothing to report at this time. The Director did
respond to several questions of the commissioners with regard
to conversion to Section 8 and the future of low-income housing
in Carlsbad.
ADJOURNMENT:
The meeting adjourned at 5:15 p.m.
