HOUSING COMMISSION
DATE: February 28, 1978
- TIME: 4;.30 p.m. to 5:45 p.m.
PLACE: Carlsbad Senior Recreation Room
ROLL CALL: All members present. Also present. were two guests from
the League of Women Voters, Margaret Bonus and Estelle Levy.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES: The minutes of the meeting of December 28, MOTION
1977 and the minutes of the meeting of January 11, 1978 were AYES
approved as presented. . NOES
WRITTEN & ORAL COyMUNICATIONS :
Item one: Office Rent. To recommend to the Housing Authority MOTION
to increase the off ice rent to $350.00. It was understood • that AYES
before December 1978 the Staff would begin to look for a new ' NOES
office location.
Item two: Tranquilla Apartments. To recommend to the Housing MOTION
Authority to increase the rents at Tranquilla as follows: AYES

Item four: 3138 Jefferson Street apartments. To recommend MOTION
to the Housing Authority to increase the rents at 3103 Jefferson AYES

Four - two bedroom units $130.00 $170.00
SECRETARY'S REPORT: Villalobos reported that a Volt temporary
clerk was hired for the month. Also that Bonnie, a City CETA
employee was now at the Housing Office as receptionist.
No word on Director's position.
Letter was written to Mr. Paul Kaup (HUD) to extend fourth quarter
of preliminary leaking period for Sec. 8.
At this time the commissioners asked if in the minutes we could
include the expiration dates of the Housing Commission members.
ADJOURNMENT:
The meeting was adjourned at 5:45 p.m.'
