ROLL CALL: Chairman Sanchez called the meeting to order.

The minutes of the last meeting were approved as mailed MOTION
Letter to Owner's
Comm. Hayes requested a copy of the letter that was sent to
Section 23 § 8 Owners regarding Prop. 13.
New Commissioner:
Mr. John W. Allen, 2506 Via Astuto, Carlsbad, was introduced as
the new commissioner. Home phone, 729-1348, office phone, 757-
6401.

Com. Hayes moved to recommend to the Housing Authority the appro-
val of the $3 per unit rent increase

val of the rental increase for the units at 2541 Jefferson St.

Motion: Com Allen moved to recommend to the Housing Authority the approval
of the rental increase for the units at 3475 Roosevelt St.

Motion: Com.Allen moved to recommend to the Housing Authority the approva
• of the rental increase for the units at 965 Laguna Drive.

Report on Commissioner's conference. At this time Com. Hayes made a brief re
port on the Commissioner's conference held in San Diego on July 7, 8 § 9. Com
Hayes distributed materials to the other commissioners that she received at
the conference.
Social Services Coordinator, at this time Villalobos submitted her report on
the activities of the S.S. Coordinator and answered questions.
Election of Officers, Chairman Sanchez suggested a meeting to select new offi
cers for the present commission.
Meeting'Date, Villalobos was instructed to send a questionnaire to all commis
loners, hoping to arrive at a new meeting date, one that would conform better
to the Housing Authority meeting. Regular meeting date is needed.
