I I -1- e e This being the time and place for the canvass of the returns of a special municipal water district election held.in Carlsbad Municipal Water District on Thursday, May 20, 1954, the Board of Directors of Yne Carlsbad Nunicipal Vater Dist- rict proceeded to canvass the returas of said election, on motion of Director Kelly <, seconded by Director Rogers , and carried by the following votes, to wit: q AYES: DIRBCTORS FRY, KELLX, ROGEBS NOES: DIFGGTCIRG None &SEN; DIR.ECTORS 2AEfr;ER and EMALD the following resolution was adopted by the Board of Directors of Carlsbad Municipal Water District: RESOLUTION NO. 6 RESOLUTION AND ORDIB OF T€E BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CARSSBAD PiUEICIPAL IJATER DISTRICT DECLARING THE RESULTS OF THE CANVASS OF A SPECIAL HIJHICIFAL WATW DISTRICT ELECTION KELD IN THE CARLSBAD NUXICIPAL WATE3 DISTRICT ON TBWSDAY , MAY 20, 1954, DECURIRG THAT THE CORPORATE AREA, OF' THE CMLSBAD MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT SHOULD BE ANNMED TO THE SAH DIEGO COUNZ'Y WATER AUTHORITY Am TO THE METROPOLITAN WATER DISTRICT OF SOUTHERRT CALIFORNIA UPON THE TERIG AND COEDITIOX3 FIXED BY THE: BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF SAID AUTHORITY P,ND OF SAID METROPOLITAN DISTRICT, ms, a special municipal water district election was duly called and regularly held in Carlsbad Mzmicipd \later District on Thursday, May 20, 1954, at which election there was submitted to the qualified electors of said district the following proposition, to wit: 8 PROPOSITION: Shall the corporate area of the Carfsbad Municipal Water District be annexed to San Diego County Water Authority and to The Metropolitan Water District of Southern California, subject to the terms and conditions fixed by the Board of Directors of said San Diego County \later Authority and subject to the terms and conditions fixed by the Board of of Southern California? Directors of said The Metropolitan %ter District AND WHEREAS, all requested and issued absentee voters' ballots have been duly canvassed and counted as required by law and the result of such count is here- inafter stated; and WHEEiEAS, the returns of said election have been duly and regularly canvassed by this Board as required by law; NOW, THEREFORE, the Board of Directors of the Carlsbad hicipal Water District does hereby RESOLVE, DZDWINE, ORDER AM) DECLARE as follows: Section 1. That said special municipal water district election was held and conducted in the Carlsbad Municipal Water District on Thursday, the 20th day of May, 1954, in the time, form and manner as required by law. I Section 2, That there were five (5) special election precincts established for the purpose of holding said election, designated Special Election Precincts No. 1 to 5, inclusive 1 to wit : Special Election Precinct No. 1 consisted of all that portion of the Carlsbad Mmicipal Water District as sai6 precinct was described in the resolution passed by the Board of Directors of the Carlsbad Muni- cipal Water District calling and ordering said election and establish- ing said election precincts, adopted on the 26th day of April, 1954. !Z?&:7zr7 : ~, Special election precinct ?To. 2 consisted of all.that portion of the Carlsbad Municipal Water District as said precinct was described in the resolution passed by the 2oard of Directors of the Carlsbad Xmicipal Water District calling and ordering said electior, and establishing said election precincts, adopted on the 26th day of April, 1951,. Special election precinct Eo. 5 consisted of all that portion of the Carlsbad Municipal Water District as said precinct was described in the resolution passed by the Board of Directors of the Carlsbad Muni- cipal Water District calling and ordering said election and establish- ing said election precincts, adopted on the 26th day of April, 1954..
