He stated th3.t these plans xnvolve first the determination of the virater requirements of the Carlsbad Kmicipal Xater District. 'Their ~,.:orI: will be based on agriculture, subdivision, the terrain and elevations, to determine how mu-ch water can be used in this District. Second: to find. where the best place would be to have the Third: to look into the possibilities of reservoir sites where a dam cou.ld be built T::ithout "coo much expeme. He then went into considerable cietail regard-ing the proposed pipeline avld +,he attitude of the City of San Diego, should the 'Yater Authority wish to assist in bailding %his pipeline. He stated that it is a complicated groblem and that we mn'c to go ahead and make our studies and 3e-k the results in, because ii' 0ceansid.e cuts dovn on us, T.;Te .:..5Il have to go ahead and get water. Mr. Trygg inquired whether there is going to be any study of water resources, water rights, v,:ater v,seage, etc. Ilirector aogers replied that the engineer will cooperate with ihIr. Director 2ogers replied, explaining khat according to ?<re Holngren7s figures, the south line would be much cheaper than a line further north and that as the area developed, the people to the south of Bgua Hedionda would be paying an ever increasing share of the cost. Director kogers suggested. that we send a co~py of this telegram to Oceanside, Mr. Trygg suggested that Oceanside be contmted- to find out whether they have the building and the piping in so that the chlcrinator can be installed.
