The meeting was called to order by President F'ry at 7:35 p.m. Present: Directors Billy C. Fry Xax Ewald Allan Kelly
VivlT. Mi. Rogers Absent: Pat Zahler
Also present were IW. Don Short, W. %ole of Mr. Short's office
and Nrs. Clarence Dawson.
Minut e s : The minutes of the adjourned meeting of Barch 21, 1955, were read and approved as corrected.
Ccrrespon- Secretary Rogers read a letter from City of Ocean-
denzce side dated %larch 21, 1955, concerning meter
readings.
Letter read from San Diego County Bater Authority dated %arch 29, 1955 suggesting solution to meter readings.
Letter read from Carlsbad Nutual Nater Cornsany dated "iarch 29, 1955, acceptfng Water Authority suggested solution.
Memorandum from Carlsbad Iiiiutual was read relative to suggested changes in Oceanside-Nunicipal con- tract. Secretary directed to reply that Engineer- ing and Water Problems Committee would be glad to meet with them at any time to discuss the
matter .
Letter from City mgineer of Oceanside read con-
cerning proposed changes in Oceanside City limits to seaward. Referred to Attorney.
Letter from Oistrict to Irrigation Districts As- sociation was read applying for membership for District.
Letter from Water Authority read advising that the Oistrict has 225 acre feet of water in storage at San Vicente.
Ehgineer Mr. Short discussed recent meeting of operating
shortages were discussed. Pointed out that Oceanside and Carls- bad not particularly concerned as their entitlements plus
suggestions were made: (1) liequest Metropolitan to allow Lake Niatthews to go below established level in order to keep the aqueduct flowing at capacity; (2) Agencies facing shortage to buy water from City of San Dfego, that City to allow its re- serves to fall by the amount of some 15,000 acre feet. Price to
be $10 including pumpEng.

There being no further busim ss to come before the meeting, on motion duly made and carried the meeting
adjourned at 9t55 p.m.
