Greek; absent: Kelly. Also present were Attorney Swirsky, Engineers Short and Kukuk, Mr. Idm. Cannon and Executive Secretary A. Stephens Lowrie. Ydnutes On motion of Director Rogers, seconded by Director Ewald, the minutes of the meeting of October 16, 1957 were approved as amended by the Attorney. Directors present: Ewald, F'ry, Rogers, 1 CORiiESPONDENCE: 1. State Water Rights Board, 10-28-57 - granting extension of time to 4-24-58 for ne- gotiation on Hinton Damsite. Hallmark Construction Co., 10-24-57 - re Stop Order Einer Brothers, Inc.. was a copy of letter to U.S.F.M. (10-21-57). La 2. Enclosed 3. Feather River Project Association, 10-18-57 - Newsletter, 4. Bovle Engineering: 10-18-57 - Copy of letter to Countz Surveyor re contemplated construction within 0. (This letter was acknowledged 11-4~57.) 11-6-57 - regarding retention of Boyle Engineering. The subject was ordered placed on the agenda for the meeting to be held 11-26-57. 11-6-57 - recommending additions and modifications to the new system as follows: 1. 2. 3. On motion of Director Rogers, seconded by Director Ewald, Engineer Short Improvement District No. 2 The Executive Secretary called attention to the fact that Boyle Engineering had also submitted a --- and tax rates for Improvement District No. 2, and that copies had been sent to all directors. retirement schedule and projected water chawes Engineer Short stated that if the pipeline were started at the earliest possible time after the election it could be completed by June 1, 1958. 5. San Mego County Water Authority, ID-23-57 - Requesting application for storwe water - to be submitted by 10-31-57. had been made for rp0 acre feet of water, to be stored on behalf of CMWD between November 1, 1957 and October 31, 1958. It was reported by President hy that application Water Storage expressed the view that CMWD has already asked more than it will get. the only risk is that a heavy rainy season might overflow San Vincente and CMWDIs stored water would be lost. It was noted however, that San Vicente has never overflowed during its existence since the p's. On motion of Director Rogers, seconded by Director Ewald, the request as written was approved unanimously. Engineer Short advised that the CEaJD should avail itself of any opportunity to store water since "things might be tight before the second aqueduct is completed". He suggested increasing the amount requested. He said a 2% loss is nothing to be concerned about but if losses should go as high as 4%, checking would be in order. He added that evaporation lossed from the system are virtually zero. Oceanside It was reported that Mr. Wiese had told Mr. Wood of the Mutual that & North Oceanside intends to cut off the supply of water to North Carlsbd, Carlsbad Election Attorney Swirsky reported that election proceedings are going forward in Improvement order. Filing Forms For Bonds On motion of Director Greek, seconded by Director Ewald, the Ekecutive Secretary was authorized to negotiate with Carlisle and Company for filing forms necessary for preserving records of bonds of Improvement District No. 1. Bills Approved On motion of Mrector Ewald, seconded by Director Rogers, the bills for October, covered by checks # 1937-2[)25 were approved. On motion of Director Rogers, seconded by Director Greek, the meeting was declared adjourned to November 20, 1957 at 7:30 P,M.
