HomeMy WebLinkAbout1959-06-16; Municipal Water District; MinutesI Permanent Director Greek reported that the City is anxious to occupy the Location present District office space and would appreciate vacation within a reasonable length of time. A motion, instituted by Director Carnohan and seconded by Director Greek, stipulated that Carlsbad Municipal Water District move out as soon as possible and purchase the building at 2698 State Stree for a permanent home at $12,000.00, with $3,000.00 additional for any improvements or changes. Motion carried. Director Ewald abstained from discussion and voting. Ewald Director Greek moved that the Board accept, with regret, the Resignation resignation of Director Ewald and that the Attorney prepare a Resolution of appreciation. The motion was seconded by Director Carnohan and carried. It was generally agreed that discussion of a successor be postponed until Director Coe is present. Chairman President Kelly appointed Director Carnohan Chairman of the Water Problems Committee. President Kelly announced that he had received note requesting an Executive Session Purpose was not stated. The Board entered Executive Session at 5:OO P.M. with Attorney Swirsky remaining. Regular session was resumed at 5:20 P.M.. On motion of Director Carnohan, seconded by Director Greek, the meeting was declared adjourned to July 7, 1959, at 2:OO P.M. the time set for opening of bids on the 2nd aqueduct connection and dual chlorination station.
