Vice President Maerkle called the meeting to order at 2:03 P.Y. with ijirectors Greek,
md Phillips answering roll call. Slirector Coe arrived at 295 F.Y. President Kelly
was absent, Also present were General l!ana,ger IJood, Zngineer Ford, Legal Counsel
Grosse and Assistant Office Secretary,
Approval of Upon motio-?: of Director ?kitlips, seconded by Director Greek, and
Enutes unanimously carried, the minutes of the regular meeting of August 18, I 1064 were approved as traxscribed and mailed by the Secretary.
Report of Legal Counsel:
Lido Land Co. Legal Counsel reported that everything is in order and he is still
Condemmtiorr getting sigr,atures on the Lido Land CO, Condemnation Suit papers.

Report of Engineer:
Engineer Ford reported there is no activity in the Engineerizg field at present.
Sewerage After discussion, u.por_ notion by Director Phillips, secopded by Director
Program Coe, and umaninously carried, it was moved that the District proceed with
Legal Counsel was instructed to make a close study of the procedure to be followed
by the qoard. Engineer was directed to have prelirznary outline of constmction
ready for next meeting.
The Manager reported that he kzd a call from W. Wayne Lill, present City Engineer,
suggesting a meeting for this comhg Friday morning to discuss the sever program. It
was sugzested that the City of Carlsbad be informed tb.at the District intends to go
ahead on the sewer program.
Tipeline Relocation The ?Tanager reported t%t the State Division of Highways has
Toinsettia Road apeed that form1 bids for relocattor- constmction at Toinsettia
the project on force account basis .
Personnel The Manager reported that the work load in %intenarmce and operation is
field man with tk;e least senority, has been notified of termipation of his employment
as of end of September pay period.
La Costa The Nanager reported that all necessary forms, bonds, easements, nuitclaims,

th.at La Costa‘s request to locate t’-eir Eail box at the District Office unti completion of streets in Unit +I. be granted. After discussion, ~pon motion by Direct0
Greek, seconded ’by Director Ph.iLlips, a2d unanimou.sly carried, it was moved that La
Costa be allowed temporary mail box space at District office,
the preliminary construction of T-7 facilities in Ruga Xedionda area only.

The Nanager reported that we ’nave received a letter from We San Diego County Water
Authority with the official notice of the ?5& decrease in water rates effective with
the September billing.
Checks The Manager, beeavse of the remoteness of the Readquarters Office, recommended %>at the Resolri3.or 3e revised to authorize any two Directors to sign the Ckecl
in the future. Director Maerkle recommended tkat we wait and take action on. this aftel

House at Squires Dam, t’re Manager reported that he has the figures from one
Trailer Sales in Oceanside. Manager Wood stated tbat he ar?d Fro Tucker
want to look around some more and check the fi-mes with other Trailer Sales. The
Ymager also recommended t??at w!r.ile we have the bul.ldozer at Squires Dan getting the
roads repaired that we irvest a half days work &d get the site for the trailer shaped
before the rains come. The Hacager wzs directed Lo proceed with his recomTendation.
The &mager reported t'nat he has not taken any office machines for trial use at this time as he is waiting until after vacation time so everycne in the office will have a
chance to use them.
Fkdios & The Fanager reported thet it will td&e from 9 to 190 dzys for imtallatio~
Equipment of the radios an.d equipment and recommended that he be allowed to go
ahead and place the purchase order, Director Maerkle recommends that we
keep Yobile telephones in tru-ck, perhaps getting another one in the Chevelot, and see
if it is necessary to get the radios in a year fro3 now. Director Maerkle sllggested
that we buy another Tick Vp Truck this year with the xoney budgeted for the Radios
since Superintendent Tucker said the District would need a cew Pick Up Truck next
year. After further discvssion, upon motion by Director Coe, seconded 5y Director
Greek, it was moved that t.>e District buy the radios axd eqv-ipment, by t'7.e following
vote : I

Landscaping The Manager reported that four (4) Orange Trees are enmute and will
be planted on Friday, also more ivy on. way.
Ratification Upon motion by Director Coe, seconded by Director Greek, an.d unaninously
of Checks carried, it was moved that the Board ratify Checks KO. 541 thru No. 556,
with Check piso. 555 Voided, ir: the amount of 951,378.10,
Upon motion by Director Greek, seconded by girector Phillips, and unanimously carried,
the meeting was declared adjourned at 3:35 P. F'i.
