The meeting was called to order by President Maerlcle at 2:06 P.M., with Directors Coe, Phillips and Carmichael answering roll call. Dfrector Kelly was absent. Also present were General Manager Wood, Legal Counsel Grosse, and Office Secretary.
The President aanomced that this meethg was called for the purpose of adopting
a resolution setting forth the tax rates for the fiscal year 196546.
Legal. Counsel introduced the Wxiver of Ilotics of Special Meeting" which had been circulated and signed by members of the Board and is hereby made a part of
the minutes of this meeting.

in full and, after discussion, upo~ motion of Director Coe, seconded by Director
Phillips , the said resolution ntmbered t119i'tr was adopted by the following vote:
ABS : Directors: Iherlile, Coe, aillips, Carmichael
NOES : Directors : Eone
ABSENT : Directors : Kelly
I It was noted that the resolution, as adopted, reflects the allocations nd tax
rates as set forth. in the proposed budget which was formally accepted by the Board
at the last regular meeting.
Director Carmichael asked if the Board bas given consideration to having the
budget printed in the local paper as some of the other governmental agencies do
and the Board agreed that some publicity of t3is type might be desirable to
better acqv.aint the public with the District's operation.
The business having been conducted as called for, qon motion of Director Coe,
seconded by Director Phillips, the meeting vas declared adjourned at 2:23 P.Y.

WAIVER OF NOTICE OF SPECIAL MEETING OF THE
BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL
WATER DISTRICT
The undersigned, being all of the directors of the Board of
Directors of the CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT, DO
HEREBY waive notice of special meeting of the Board of Directors
to be held at 2:OO o'clock P. M., at the office of the District, on the
16th day of August, 1965. Said meeting was called for the purpose of
adopting a resolution setting forth tax rate for the fiscal year 1965-1966.
