Director Coe was absent, Also present were ,General Yanager Vood, Fnglneer Fori!, Arthur Qwe, sitting in for LegGal Corzvlsel Grosse, and Office Secretary, Also present was Jon Engellemer, reporting for the Garlsbad Journal. I Aprroval of Vpon motion of Director Fhillips, seconded by Director Cmmichael, Rinutes and unmimowly cmied, the minutes of tT7e regular neeting of August 2, 1966, were approved as nailed out by the Secretary. Engineer Is Report: La Costa %.e Zngineer presented for the Bozrd’s corzideration estimates of Tad! Site constructions costs and site Tequ.irenents for above-ground, partially which could be constructed to serve the La Costa area. Ze explained Ynat a site has definitely been selected which is located at the sotxtheast corner of the La Costa property where it joins the ?ressi Ranch. a3 about elevation 300 feet, In reviewing the cost estimates for the different types of installations, he pointed out there is a cost differential of $88,800.00 between the steel reservoir above ground at ?308,000 .OD, and the ?restressed concrete reservoir completely buried at $L%,sOO.W. Director Kelly reported that he had also been approached by Richard Holgen regardin5 filtration md the possibility of his firm providing their services in developing a proLpam for the District, After discussion, it was decided t:Y~at the &&mer should subrrfit a proposal on providing this type of study and Er.
