SPECIAL MEETiNG OF: CITY OF CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT
(Special Meeting)
DATE OF MEETING: October 5, 2010
TIME OF MEETING: 6:00 p.m.
PLACE OF MEETING: City Council Chambers
CALL TO ORDER: President Lewis called the Meeting to order at 6:21 p.m.
ROLL CALL was taken by the Deputy Secretary as follows:
Present: Board Members Lewis, Kulchin, Hall, Packard and Blackburn.
Absent: None.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES:
On a motion by Vice President Kulchin, the Minutes of the following meetings were approved as
presented:
Minutes ofthe Special Meeting held August 24, 2010.
Minutes ofthe Special Meeting held September 14, 2010.
DEPARTMENTAL AND EXECUTIVE MANAGER REPORT:
4. AB #20.3724 ~ HYDROELECTRIC FACILITY AT MAERKLE RESERVOIR.
Deputy City Engineer Bill Plummer presented the staff report and PowerPoint presentation (on
file in the Office of the City Clerk).
ACTION: On a motion by Vice President Kulchin, the Board adopted
RESOLUTION NO. 1404. accepting a technical memorandum,
dated April 2010, for the Pressure Control Hydroelectric Facility at
the Maerkle Reservoir, Project No. 5025, as amended to include
"proceed to finai design".
AYES: Lewis, Kulchin, Hall, Packard and Blackbum.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
RECESS:
President Lewis declared a recess at 6:47 p.m.
RECONVENE MEETING:
President Lewis reconvened the meeting at 6:51 p.m with five Board Members present.
ADJOURNMENT;
By proper motion, the Special Meeting of October 5, 2010 was adjourned at 6:51 p.m.
