City Council Chambers, 1200 Carlsbad Village Drive, Carlsbad, CA 92008
CALL TO ORDER: President Hall called the Meeting to order at 8:19 p.m.
ROLL CALL was taken by the Secretary as follows:
Present: Board Members Hall, Kulchin, Blackburn, Douglas and Packard.
Absent: None.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES:
On a motion by Vice President Kulchin, the Minutes of the following meeting were unanimously approved as
presented:
Minutes of the Special Meeting held April 26, 2011.
Minutes of the Special Meeting held May 10, 2011.
WAIVER OF ORDINANCE TEXT READING:
Board waived the reading of the text of all Ordinances and Resolutions at this Meeting.
DEPARTMENTAL REPORT:
16. AB #733 - DECLARING THE END OF THE DROUGHT.
Utilities Director Glen Pruim gave the staff report and Power Point presentation, on file in the office of the City
Clerk.
ACTION: On a motion by Vice President Kulchin, the Board adopted RESOLUTION
NO. 1418, declaring the end of the Drought in the Carlsbad Municipal
Water District (CMWD) Service Area; and, rescinded the Drought
Response Level 2 - Drought Alert Condition.
AYES: Hall, Kulchin, Blackburn, Douglas and Packard.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
ADJOURNMENT:
By proper motion, the Special Meeting of May 24, 2011 was adjourned at 8:31 p.m.
