MEETING OF; CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT BOARD AND
CITY COUNCIL (Joint Special Meeting)
DATE OF MEETING: May 28, 2013
TIME OF MEETING: 4:30 p.m.
PLACE OF MEETING: City Hall Conference Room 3,1200 Carlsbad Village Drive, Carlsbad,
California
CALL TO ORDER: President/Mayor Hall called the meeting to order at 4:30 p.m.
ROLL CALL was taken by the Deputy Secretary/Deputy City Clerk, as follows:
Present: Board/Council Members Hall, Packard, Wood, Blackburn and Douglas.
Absent; None.
PUBLIC COMMENT ON AGENDA ITEM: None.
CLOSED SESSION: Board/Council adjourned into closed session at 4:32 p.m. pursuant to the following:
1. GOVERNMENT CODE SECTION 54956.8. To hold a closed session to instruct its negotiators
(Skip Hammann, Public Works Director, Bill Plummer, Engineering Manager and Keith Solar,
Buchanan Ingersoll and Rooney) regarding purchase, sale, exchange or lease of real
property located and generally identified as:
Property Owner: City of Carlsbad -
Carlsbad Municipal Water District
Location: San Luis Rey Watershed, Oceanslde
Negotiating Party: Dave Seymour for Rainbow Municipal Water District
If circumstances necessitate the absence of a specified designated representative, an agent or
designee may participate in place of the absent representative so long as the name of the
agent or designee is announced at an open session held prior to the closed session.
RECONVENE:
The Board/Council reconvened at 5:36 p.m. with five members present. President/Mayor Hall
announced that Board/Council met in closed session at 4:30 p.m. to discuss one item. The
Board/Council deliberated on what is in the best interests of the City and its citizens but took no final
action. Final action, when taken, will be reported out at a subsequent meeting.
ADJOURNMENT:
By proper motion, the Joint Special Meeting of May 28, 2013 was adjourned at 5:38 p.m.
