MEETING OF; CITY OF CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT BOARD AND
CITY COUNCIL
(Joint Special Meeting)
DATE OF MEETING: August 20, 2013
TIME OF MEETING: 8:50 a.m.
PLACE OF MEETING: Planning Library, 1635 Faraday Avenue, CaHsbad, California
CALL TO ORDER: President/Mayor Hall called the meeting to order at 8:50 a.m.
ROLL CALL was taken by the Secretary/City Clerk, as follows:
Present: Board/Council Members Hall, Packard, Wood, Blackburn and Douglas.
Absent: None.
PUBLIC COMMENT ON AGENDA ITEM: None.
CLOSED SESSION:
Board/Council adjourned into closed session at 8:50 a.m. pursuant to the following:
1. GOVERNMENT CODE SECTION 54956.9(a). To hold a dosed session to discuss pending
litigation against J-M Manufacturing Company Inc., Case No. ED CV-06-00055(GW).
RECONVENE:
The Board/Council reconvened at 9:08 a.m. with five members present. President/Mayor Hall
announced that Board/Council met in closed session at 8:50 a.m. to discuss one item. The
Board/Council deliberated on what is in the best interests ofthe City and its citizens but took no final
action. Final action, when taken, will be reported out at a subsequent meeting.
ADJOURNMENT;
By proper motion, the Joint Special Meeting of August 20, 2013 was adjourned at 9:09 a.m.
